William Parsonage
Professor William Parsonage is a Senior Staff Cardiologist at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Visiting Cardiologist with Queensland Cardiovascular Group, and Professor in the Faculty of Health at Queensland University of Technology where he is Clinical Director of AusHSI – The Australian Centre for Health Service Innovation. A graduate of University of Nottingham, UK where he also completed a clinical research fellowship and the research higher degree of Doctor of Medicine. He moved to Australia in 2000 to complete cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital. In 2008 he led the introduction of the first multidisciplinary obstetric cardiology clinic in Australia. He sits on the Queensland Maternal Mortality Committee, the executive steering committee of the European Society of Cardiology’s global Registry of Pregnancy and Cardiovascular Disease (ROPAC) and is the chair of Guideline and Quality Standards Committee the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
