Graduating from Glasgow University and completing MRCP(UK), Dr Ram travelled to Australia in 2001. Whilst rotating in many areas of medicine, he completed his FRACP in Internal medicine and Palliative Medicine. Dr Ram has been passionate about palliative care support aligning with technological advances and was integral in the development of the Palliative Care Home iPad visiting service based on the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. He is currently a member of the Queensland Statewide Palliative care digital group. Currently the clinical lead for the Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth service (SPaRTa), Dr Ram will share his experiences and discuss preliminary outcome data in the provision of Specialist Palliative Care from a Statewide perspective. He will explore avenues where virtual palliative care can integrate with oncology services.
