Incorporating Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) into clinical cancer care has been shown to reduce mortality, health system utilisation and improve patients’ quality of life; but adoption into clinical practice is slow. This presentation will review existing projects that utilise PROs to screen for unmet needs, their outcomes to date and approaches to ensure long term sustainability and discuss these in the context of the current work by the COSA PRO Implementation Working Group that focuses on facilitating the national implementation of PRO collection in cancer.
