GPs/Primary Care Physicians, have an important and growing role in collaborative Cancer Survivorship Care. Frameworks, guidance, increased awareness and role clarification are required in order to optimise cohesive, holistic patient care and outcomes. Effective communication systems between primary and tertiary centres are key. Primary care needs to be incorporated into Cancer Survivorship Initiatives.
